Aviemore is situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Cairngorms translates to Blue Mountain as apparently the summit of the Cairngorms looks blue from a distance. Being a munro, Cairn Gorm is 4084 feet / 1245 metres high, the plateau being made of pink granite.

Based at the Hilton Coylumbridge Hotel, Outdoor Discovery have many fun activities for all ages including skate park, climbing walls, superjumper and a dry ski slope for ski-ing, snowboarding and ringgos.

Located 7 miles out of Aviemore at the edge of Carbridge. Fun, adventure, discovery, for all the family. With many great attactions and multi-visit family tickets making it terrific value to revisit during your stay. The kids (of all ages) will be eager to return.

Golf
There are five 18-hole and two 9-hole golf courses set within a 15-mile radius of Aviemore including Boat of Garten designed by James Baird, Newtonmore, Grantown-on-Spey and Kingussie. These courses are suitable for all standards of golfers.
