We all really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely, very well equipped and had everything in it we needed, enjoyed the bottle of wine especially. This was our first trip to Aviemore and we enjoyed the Scottish pub and a trip to Inverness for shopping. We will definitely be coming back to ‘Ard Tigh’
Thanks Laura, Neil, Susan, Andrew, Jennie, Craig, Jenny & Greg – Nov 08
We would recommend ‘Roos Leap’ in town; the shops are quite good but mostly skiing and bikes. Inverness is probably the best place to go. The entertainment system is perfect for all the family and we enjoyed watching DVD’s at night! The weather was great as it was snowing and had fun having snowball fights. We would recommend ‘Landmark’ which is quite near and you can get in for a bargain and get a day’s worth of fun. We will definitely come again.
Thanks, The Goldrich family – October 08
I Have to say I have stayed in many houses in Aviemore and surrounding but this has definitely been our favourite. It is very well equipped. I liked the fact that there were small pieces to start you off eg. Tea, coffee, clingfilm, bin bags all the things you need you often forget about. My favourite surprise was when we opened the fridge to a nice bottle of chilled winw, very nice touch! We have been very lucky with the weather this week and enjoyed biking, swimmimg and our visit to see the tigers at the wildlife park.
We will definitely be back.
Thanks again, Gary, Catriona, Emily, Alana, Dave & Isobel, Luthermuir, Aberdeenshire - October 08
We had a great holiday with our friends from Glasgow and Vancouver in ‘Ard Tigh’, house filled all our needs, very comfortable and very well equipped. We all loved Dalfaber Country Club with all its facilities, the whisky trail was wonderful.
Thanks a lot, Ann & Stewart R. – October 08.
Had a wonderful time in Aviemore remembering times when I was able to ski. Accommodation was superb and the beds very comfortable. Aviemore has much to offer as a base to the surrounding areas. Thanks Lorna for a wonderful holiday, the golf at Dalfaber Country Club was excellent. Would recommend ‘Ard Tigh’ to anyone.
Many thanks, Nettie Farquharson – October 08.
I had a very comfortable time here and a lot of fun on the golf course. The house is superb.
Many thanks, Dougald – October 08.
Thanks for allowing us the use of such a comfortable “Home from Home” the best equipped place we have visited in a while. Loved the Dalfaber Country Club. The Whisky trail to Aberlour distillery well worth a visit. Will spread the news to friends in Canada who want to visit Scotland.
Many thanks – Ann & Rolf Paterson – October 08.
We enjoyed our stay in this modern well equipped house. Very comfortable beds and nice décor. Enjoyed watching the big TV with good surround sound. Also had fun playing the games supplied. Would recommend a trip to the sled dogs, very informative with nice natured dogs and Alvie stables is good for horse trekking in great scenery.
Many thanks – The Fraser family – September 08.
House is fab Lorna, many thanks. Great base for an action packed holiday in Aviemore. Weather wasn't great.... but hey, who comes here in late September for the sun!! Covered most of the sites, brill fun. House really clean and well fitted out. Lovely and peaceful, superb beds... really comfortable.
Fab holiday many thanks.
The Nelson's - September 2008
We've had a fantastic stay, the house is really a home from home and was comfortable and clean. Would recommend a visit to Loch Morlich which is beautiful and dolphin watching in Inverness. The family pass for Dalfaber was a great extra. Would definitely come back.
Morton Family - September 2008
The house was really well furnished & equipped to a very high standard and we had a very comfortable stay.
In spite of very mixed weather we enjoyed taking canoes out on Loch Morlich, walking, visit to Highland Folk Museum, dolphin watching boat trip from Inverness, etc.
Thank you for everything.
Don, Anne, Seonaid and Ewen - August 2008
Accommodation top notch! Lots of little touches that made it a pleasant stay.
Recommend as per previous review Cairngorm Hotel for a decent meal.
Highly recommend a trip on the Strathspey Railway. Go for the £21 meal on Fridays and Sundays but book early! Really nice three course meal and price includes a return ticket.
Enjoy your stay.
Pat, Mick & family - August 2008
We had a lovely time at 44 Corbett Place. We found the house to be very well equipped and there was of room for us.
Lots of family activities - Strathspey Railway, Highland Wildlife Park. Fun House at Hilton Coylumbridge has a good soft play area. McDonald Aviemore resort has a good outside play park and indoor pool.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

In agreement with all comments before.
A South African family of 5, we enjoyed the comfort of Ard Tigh amongst various other exceptional experiences and good Scottish memories of stay, from the airport right through to Orkney in north, and inclusive of the feeling of security, safety and trust (strange but virtually non-existent in SA!).
Best regards with a hope to return in the future.
July 2008
Great accommodation to go with the excellent weather and activities we enjoyed.
Thank you for thinking of every creature comfort, it really was home from home.
Alaine, David & Holly - May 2008
Great house in good location, a real home from home. Only wished I had stayed longer.
Ian - May 2008
We seemed to choose well on all fronts - great house with all mod cons we could need, a week of sunshine and some great adventures - feeding the fish was a huge hit with our 2 year old as was the steam train!
Will be back.
Yvonne, Stuart, Cameron & Iain - May 2008
Thanks had a great time. House has everything you need for a good family holiday, will be back.
Amanda, Fred, Brace, Lyndsay, Callum, Max, Ross and Lettie. - April 2008
Great place to stay, accommodation very clean and comfortable.
Landmark in Carrbridge is a fantastic value for money day out (with or without kids!)-wear wellies and old clothes though!
Will definitely be back to Ard Tigh and Aviemore in the future, and will recommend it to friends and family.
Ross and Tracey Graham & Kids - April 2008
The house was clean and tidy and we immediately relaxed with all the home comforts such as the washing machine and TV we settled into our weeks holiday straight away.
Eating places we would recommend include the Cairngorm Hotel and the Bridge Inn (both Aviemore).
A beautiful walk (flat and suitable for all levels of fitness) is Loch An Eileen, about 3 miles out of Aviemore. It takes 1 ½ hours and is well worth it-the scenery is spectacular. I’m sure we will stay here again.
Jardine family - April 2008
Mr & Mrs Thompson
Booked a few days break with the whole family. Found house to be very clean and of a high standard that more than met all of our requirements.
Enjoyed Aviemore and hope to visit again and plan to stay at “Ard Tigh “again.
For mean time heartily recommend to all.
